/mōˈmen(t)əm,məˈmen(t)əm/
noun: momentum plural noun: momenta
the quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity.
the force gained by a moving object.: "the vehicle gained momentum as the road dipped".

Momentum, the force gained by a moving object. Example: She gained momentum as she ran down the hill. The downhill portion of the race gave her the momentum to climb the next hill. Real life example of momentum - In a race, it is usually within the last 400 meters that the momentum you have gained propels you forward towards the finish line. It’s the energy from the other runners around you, as they find their last gear to finish strong that drives your momentum even further. That last surge of energy, comes from the grueling hours spent alone on the roads. You’ve had to conjure up a mental toughness day after day, mile after mile for this moment. As you cross the finish line a feeling of pride overcomes you as you realize all of your hard work, sacrifice, and time has paid off.
Not everyone is a runner, and the majority of people reading this, have a deep seeded hate for the sport. However, I think it is the best example that I can use when we talk about gaining momentum in life. It doesn’t have to as complicated as the above equation either.
Momentum is a word used to describe the motion of an object in motion as it gains force. If I could draw you a picture to describe the momentum, I had in my life 6 years ago, I would have been drawing you a straight line that sloped ever so slightly down. Stagnant. Spiraling.
That’s how you could describe my life. A life of emotional eating and drinking to help me cope the only way I knew how to get me through the aftermath of divorce and an incredibly emotion filled job. Years of using food and alcohol as a coping strategy led to excess weight, inflammation, and the worst case of plantar fasciitis I’d ever experienced. I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired. At this point, I chose to turn to an accountability coach. My coach taught me about ketogenic weight loss, and ways to maintain proper nutrition once my goal was met. Long story short, my friends, this choice is what gave me back the momentum in my life.
You might be wondering what the point is to this rambling, why are we talking about momentum? Returning to a life I could be proud of inspired me to give this experience to others. When I began to research a company similar to the weight loss program that changed the trajectory of my life, I was taken by one company as their concept of shift, set, go seemed exactly like the momentum I might be able to give to others. And so, the idea Momentum Weight Loss and Training Center was born.
Finding your momentum could just be the catalyst you’ve been looking for to transform your life...
